OIL MARKETING COMPANY WITH AN INITIAL 20 FUEL FILLING STATIONS-A START UP

by EVANS ARTHUR
(KUMASI, GHANA)

Ghana is a country located in West Africa with a population of 25 million people, a GDP of 78 Billion usd. The country has a very stable democracy and this has created a conducive atmosphere for businesses and investors with various multinational companies operating in Ghana. Ghana is endowed with natural resources such as gold, timber, diamond, bauxite, and crude oil. My business idea and thus this proposal is directly linked to the oil and gas industry in Ghana.
Access to petroleum products in Ghana is satisfactory but has to be improved as the population grows.
There are presently a total of 1,700 petroleum products retail outlets of which 37% are Service Stations(SS), 20% are Filling Stations (FS) and 43% are Reseller Outlets (RO). The total number of retail outlets represents an access ratio of 71 retail outlets per one million people.(source: Ministry of Energy, Ghana).

From the statistics and figures above, clearly the demand for petroleum products outweighs the supply, as such there is the need and more room to invest in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry where an oil marketing company shall be formed with an initial 20 fuel filling stations across the major cities and towns in the country. By this, I propose the establishment of an oil marketing company which shall have 20 fuel stations across Ghana. The name of the company shall be called ATT PETROLEUM GHANA LTD, a limited liability company.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
The business shall be an oil marketing company to be called ATT PETROLEUM GHANA LTD. It will be in the downstream sector in the oil and gas industry. ATT shall start with 20 fuel filling stations across the country. As the company grows then we expand our base according to investment from our profit. Ten years after its existence, ATT would have had enough experience and the financial muscle to enter into the Midstream sector of the oil and gas industry. Then finally after 20 years ATT would move into the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

The total amount of funding needed for this project is 10 mil usd. From the pro forma financial statements, an investment of $10million into this project will yield a yearly income after tax of $4million. I am looking for an investor who will invest the required 10 million usd in the project. After 5 years of operations, the 10 million usd will be paid to the investor with interest and the investor will be given 20% shares in the company. Complete business plan with financial projections and proforma financial statements is available. Investors can contact me at squito7pm@yahoo.com or skype at squito7pm for a copy of the business plan. Ghana is a business conducive country. Investors are welcome.
God bless you all.
